Find my Iphone has been turned off

Hello. My iPhone was stolen last night. I signed in to my iCloud and was trying to detect it, i could see my phone was enlisted in the devices but later it just disappeared and i got a pop up saying "Find my iPhone has been turned off" (I have attached the screenshot).

Now i have two questions:-

  1. Is it possible for someone to access my phone even though it was passcode protected?
  2. 2. Why would my iCloud suddenly turn off find my iPhone device that it is literally removed from the list?

Please help!

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 16

Did you receive any kind of notice claiming to be from Apple regarding your device being located, etc?

If so, and you used a link in the message to “log in” to your account, you fell for a phishing message and gave the thief who has your phone the credentials for your account allowing them to remove the activation lock.

You will never see that device again.
