my iphone 12pro lost facial recognition after the software update of 15.7.1. No iOS update is detected for iOS 16.
How can my iphone 12 pro with 15.7.1 iOS to either update or fixed my issue with the face recognition.

It sounds like we have a couple different things happening.
If we look at Face ID, the first recommended step from Apple is to update the device as seen here: If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support
Because of that, we suggest working on updating your phone first. To start, check out the information here as there are some great steps to help get the device updated: If your iPhone or iPad won't update - Apple Support
Once the device is updated, go through the steps in the first article we shared to troubleshoot Face ID.
