Ugh, why has Apple done this?
Now I paste a URL into an email to report spam and the mail app executes the call to the server generating a “rich link”
I don’t want a rich link. I certainly did not want to tell the spammer I was here. 😩
How do we opt for basic paste without the unhelpful extras?
Hopefully this will help people who come across this default feature. There are two actions:
Currently. Not ultimately.
Ultimately would be when someone says, “There is a fix and this is how to do it…”

Honestly, I just gave up and started using a different client. This is too big a fail.

Just tell us, please, how to insert a link into a mail as **plain text**!
I can‘t post links to some of my favourite mailing lists anymore, because they don‘t allow images!

Interesting, it stayed default for me in future emails.
on iOS mail:
after pasting the link and letting it convert to preview, click on it, and the chevron icon will appear allowing you to convert to plain link.
