I can’t get my phone to shut off I followed the directions but it won’t work

You may have the screen in Zoom in mode. To get out of the zoomed in mode, DOUBLE TAP the screen with THREE FINGERS. See whether that resolves the issue.

If the above does not resolve the issue, then Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

• Press and quickly release Volume UP button
• Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
• Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

If the screen is zoomed double-tap the screen with THREE fingers. You can also use 3 fingers to scroll the screen. Once it is back to normal go to Settings/Accessibility and turn off Zoom.
