Hi. I just inherited an iPhone8, still well functioning: what is the latest IOS version it can support?
Moreover: sofar an Android user, I was familiar with a convenient ◀️ icon to go back to a previous page from everywhere. Is such a function not available for iPhones?

iPhone 8 can support up to iOS 16.1.1
Most apps have a Back button or similar to go back to the previous window.
No universal back button on an iPhone.
If the current app and situation within the app allows it, the app should present a back arrow somewhere on the screen to return to a previous screen within the app. Sometimes you may need to scroll to see the back arrow.
It's normally at the top left corner of the screen.
The App is responsible for all navigation options within itself.
An iPhone 8 can run the latest version of iOS, iOS 16.1.1.
Depending on the circumstances, you can go back to a previous app by using tapping on the name of the previous app in small letters at the top left of the screen.
