Malwarebytes and Clean My Mac X running together?

CMM is something that is well known to cause major issues within macOS while providing zero benefits. it is considered akin to malware by MANY of the contributors here. IMHO, you should uninstall it using the developer's instructions.

malwarebytes is OK to use with a Mac whenever you feel that you have managed to install malware, but you don't want to leave it running in the background.

I know enough to not use it. when it comes to Macs, you don't need or want any antivirus apps, nor any apps that claim to "clean up" or "speed up" or "optimize" your Mac.
