How to re-install any OSX on 2019 (intel) Macbook Pro after erasing SSD partitions and getting -1008F error from internet recovery fail.

Hello everyone,

So i tried to fresh install my 2019 (intel) macbook pro (15”) by erasing all the SSD partitions. Now i can’t see the drive in boot and every time the internet recovery starts it fails with the -1008F error.

I tried NVRAM reset, internet recovery, booting with both Catalina and Big Sur USB drive (made on a separate iMac) and even de-authorized it from my account on Find My Phone and the Apple website account.

Also did a “D” boot and the diagnostic came back with no hardware errors. Totally baffled at this point. Making a Ventura USB now for another attempt. Kindly advise what to do.

Faithfully,

Ali

That error indicates the internet recovery has no internet access. If your WiFi password isn't entered upon selecting the icon in the upper right you will get that error. Hard wiring your network connection for internet recovery is better.
