Spotlight.service broken?

I'm using Spotlight.service to handover selected text from anywhere / any app to Spotlight via a keyboard shortcut. Since I upgraded to macOS Ventura (German) this service is broken. I get a message like this:

The Spotlight service could not be used because the Spotlight.service app could not be opened.

Try installing Spotlight.service again.

How to fix this?

Usually there are some activities that are done after upgrade which involves rebuilding the spotlight cache (metadata stores used by Spotlight) which might result into slow response of spotlight.

But error looks like something is broken, did you run into any issue while upgrading.

Check / Test if you have same issue in safeMode.

Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support (Takes longer to boot)

NoteSafe mode prevents your Mac from loading certain software as it starts up, including login items, system extensions not required by macOS, and fonts not installed by macOS. It also does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility. And it deletes some system caches, including font caches and the kernel cache, which are automatically created again as needed.

Hope it helps.

if you used idea and find this question, that's the system shortcut conflict with macOS shortcuts(cmoomand + shift + f) and the system shortcut try to evoke spotlight but your spotlight service was shutted(for example I used raycast replaced spotlight), go to keyboard & shortcuts > service > search, turn off the spotlight shortcut(cmoomand + shift + f).
