I need a receipt/invoice for my purchase of Apple Care+
I purchased Apple Care+ for my new iPhone 14 pro max online last week. I got the phone at the store, then went home and bought the 2-year Apple Care+ online.
I received an email the day that I made the purchase entitled “Thank you for purchasing AppleCare+” and it my serial number and agreement number. It also says you should receive “Proof of Coverage in 24 to 48 hours”.
There’s nothing in the email that resembles a receipt or invoice.
Then I received another email a day later containing my “Proof of Coverage” which has the agreement number, serial number of my phone and attached the terms and conditions of the AppleCare+ plan.
There’s nothing in that email that resembles a receipt or invoice.
I called Apple support and spent more than 40 minutes on the phone with them, got transferred four times and no one could help me.
Normally when someone makes a purchase and pays online for anything, anywhere, they immediately receive a receipt for that purchase.
I am surprised that I have to explain this here. A receipt will have a description of what is being purchased and a dollar amount paid with a breakdown that includes how much taxes were paid.
I need this receipt to file with my taxes…
Furthermore, upon searching for a solution online, it became apparent that many people have posted on these forums with the same problem as me. I could not find a thread with a solution.
Normally, any company the size of Apple, makes available a history of all purchases online accessible by the user. I know Apple does so for other items but proof of purchase or a receipt or any record of the purchase of an AppleCare+ is nowhere to be found online. I checked my App Store purchase history and Apple Store purchase history.
I am baffled.
