FCP continues to freeze up after the Ventura.

FCP continues to freeze up when trying to play video right after the Ventura update. It will scrub the video but will not play and goes to the wheel of death. This was ONLY after the update.

Please post an EtreCheck report https://etrecheck.com giving the application Full Disk Access in Privacy System Preferences. Copy the report and use the Add Text button to paste the result into reply box.

You probably shouldn’t run webcams while you’re working in FCP.


The real problem is Chrome and the keystone daemons


  [Loaded] com.google.keystone.agent.plist (Google LLC - installed 2022-10-27)
  [Loaded] com.google.keystone.xpcservice.plist (Google LLC - installed 2022-10-27)


They kill video applications by hogging the system videotoolbox. See https://chromeisbad.com for why this is, and how to remove them completely. After removing them you will need to delete and reinstall FCP.
