Auto brightness not working on iMac 2019 after Ventura update. Has anyone experienced this? How can this be fixed?

Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities. 


For an issue like this, try the following steps: 

  1. Click the Apple menu, then System Settings. 
  2. Click Displays. 
  3. Turn off “Automatically adjust brightness” or “Ambient light compensation.
  4. Restart the Mac, then enable this feature again. 


If you are still noticing an issue, try starting your Mac in safe mode to see if the same problem occurs there: Start up your Mac in safe mode.


If the issue persists, please contact Apple Support for more help.
