Unmuting an android text message

Solution: tap on the text message conversation. Then swipe to the left to see Mute and Delete. Press Mute with the bell & slash to unmute the text.

All conversations in Messages became muted and new conversations start as muted All of my Messages conversations on my iPhone got muted. Specifically, on the conversation list, if I slide a conversation to the left, there is a slash through the bell, indicating notifications are muted. I can unmute individual conversations by touching the bell, but it is cumbersome to have to do that for every conversation. But even worse, every new message conversations gets started as being muted. I can unmute it, but it seems like the default is to be muted. I have no focus turned on, no "Do Not Disturb", etc. I'm on iOS version 16.3.1 This seems to be the same issue as Unmute all messages - Apple Community. But the solution on that support question was to do a "Reset All Settings" which seems like a huge sledge hammer that would cause one to lose every setting they have on their iPhone. How do I do a mass unmute of conversations and/or how do I change the default on new conversations to not be muted?

Accidentally muted text I accidentally muted a text for a day and can not figure out how to unmute it, there is no notification on the notification screen, no text sounds. HELP.. I keep missing important text

Muting and unmuting text messages. I have read here that a muted text alert symbol is identified as a bell with a diagonal line through it. This makes sense; except that when my bell is slashed with a line, I receive text alerts; and when I have no line through the bell; my text alerts then get muted. This has always seemed backwards to me; and even the answers here contradict what my bell symbols actually mean. I’m confused.
