Can we delete holidays we do not subscribe to, you know, like normal app where you only have to use what you need? I have seen old posts on this but am hoping maybe apple decided to stop world legislation at some point but I can't figure it out.

Ridiculous of course, since these are not US holidays I am talking about any more than bunker hill day in boston. but yes I will delete and download. a useful app that is not trying to social engineer. Again, no issue with including these as they are important to some people but not having true ability to specify for example, only federal holidays, is yet another example where apple shows it no longer cares about its consumers.
There are many rss feeds out there to add/remove. Find one that works for you or enter only the holidays you wish on a separate calendar; calendar is flexible that way.
No. The holidays calendar maintained by Apple contains a variety of US holidays. You can subscribe to any holiday calendar that you wish and disable Apple's provided calendar.
