SuperDrive compatibility

I've been thinking about buying SuperDrive to my MacBook Air as I'd want to test out how playing movies from the CDs I'd bought would work like on the MacBook. However, what worries me is the device compatibility. I've checked it and I'm not sure whether it'll work on my device. My device is MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020). If SuperDrive isn't compatible with my device, then what other CD players would you suggest buying?

yes, it should work fine. but it needs to ve connected directly to the Mac. it will not work if connected through a hub or dock. and with Macs that only have TB3 ports, you will need an USB-C to USB Adapter to connect it directly.
