I can’t delete my search history

I’m miserable, I have tried everything. The option in safari is grayed out. I have tried looking in my restricted webs, but everything is allowed. The button to turn off screen time isn’t there. I even tried to go to advanced settings in safari and deleting all my website data but when I type one letter the site I want to delete keeps showing up. Please someone help I have no idea what to do…

Hey there Patyaaa,

Usually, the option for Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data being greyed out means that it has already been performed once already, are we correct in saying it did allow you to clear it when you first tried?

We'd also like to confirm more details about what's happening to better understand what's happening, along with ruling out some general details:

  1. Which iPhone model are you using with Safari? If you're using a different device, please let us know.
  2. Do you have Safari Suggestions enabled in your Safari settings? If yes, what occurs if you test for the same issue with it turned off in Safari settings?
  3. Have you already tried a restart of your device? Sometimes, a restart is all that's needed to resolve unexpected behavior.
  4. Which letter are you trying, and what's the website it shows a link to in your search results?

Cheers!
