USB Not Appearing

I have a Lexar F35 USB, it was in the process of wiping the free space on the device which I've done many times before, I completed this and ever since my Mac (And others both Windows and Mac devices haven't been able to display it).

For example I plug it in, it does not appear in Finder or Disk Utility, but it does appear under System Information under USB but not all of the usual information which would be found there for a USB, screenshot attached.

There are no 'fsck' processes running at all in the Activity Log.

Can anyone please help in how I can get this USB to show/work again without losing the data? The USB is also partitioned to have a public and secure private allocation on the USB.

When I connect to a Windows device is appears under devices but doesn't eject, open, etc.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.0

Sounds like the USB stick is corrupted. You can try using a data recovery app such as Data Rescue to attempt to recover data from the USB stick. You can also contact a professional data recovery service such as Drive Savers to see if they can recover anything from it. Drive Savers provides free estimates and is recommended by Apple and other OEMs.

FYI, the quality of most USB sticks is extremely poor and should never contain the only copy of any important data.

People should always have frequent and regular backups of their computer and all external media (including the cloud) which contains important & unique data.
