Change feet to meters in elevation on Apple Watch SE

Hi, Does anyone know how to customise the elevation on an apple watch to show metres instead of feet please? I've seen previous answers saying to change the regional settings to a country that uses metres but I'm already set to the UK, which should be metres already I think? Even if it weren't I imagine there is an easier way than changing all the regional settings to an entirely different country.
