older Epson printer NX515 no longer connecting since Ventura upgrade

Went to Epson site for new driver - nothing new available

No default printer showing. When I add Printer name appears (also shows on network) EPSON8C3E17 and auto selects Epson NX510 Series. Click add then this:

The software for the printer was installed incorrectly. Please reinstall the software from the manufacturer.

I am sorry you are having printer problems. If you will bear with me, I will offer some things to consider. Whenever we install an operating system upgrade or some OS updates, printers and scanners will often stop working. Then a new OS compliant printer software must be installed. According to Epson's web site they no longer support this printer so there is no updated driver available. I suggest you check the respected web site below where volunteers write free drivers for older printers which are no longer supported, but which work with newer operating systems. It is worth checking out. Good luck.

This Epson NX510 support page has software for macOS 13.x (such as the v12.62 printer driver):

Would this possibly work with your printer (NX515)?


Please note that different regions may offer different drivers.


If necessary, try to reset the printing system and re-add the printer using the latest driver. See the following articles:
