All notes in MacBook Notes App disappeared overnight

Hi, this morning I found that I was signed out of my google accounts and signed into the first one whose password I had memorized, but for the second one I opened up the Notes app where I'd kept my password for it. To my horror, all my notes were gone. I hadn't downloaded an update or anything, just turned my computer off for the night like usual and turned it back on this morning. Some of them had been backed up to my first gmail account (not the passwords one, and I know there was a particular section in the sidebar separating the gmail-backed ones from the others), but the other ones were just stored on my device, and I couldn't find them anywhere. I don't know how they disappeared overnight or how to restore them. Please help me!
