Reminders list window corrupted

In Reminders (V 7.0 2715), the list window is corrupted after just visiting several lists.

See examples below. In some cases, the list is just white space when it should show items; in other cases the items overlap to the point of illegibiilty. Restarting the app usually fixes.

Start with this of M1 or M2 Mac...

Start up a Mac with Apple silicon in safe mode

On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Shut Down.

After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds.

Press and hold the power button on your Mac until the startup options window appears showing available startup disks and Options.

Select a startup disk.

Press and hold the Shift key, click Continue in Safe Mode, then release the Shift key.

To leave safe mode, restart your Mac normally, without pressing and holding any keys during startup.

Start with this if IntelMac...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I started in Safe Boot (as shown in top right in red text) but the problem remained. I did not understand your statement "Could take 10 minutes or more" so I tried waiting 30 minutes after starting in Safe Boot before testing. No difference.

My testing was to start just Reminders and click on the various lists until a corrupted list appeared. It usually took only a few clicks for corruption to show.

Since I have not found evidence online of anyone else having this problem, I wonder if the problem is with the items in my lists. I imported items from MS To Do app several weeks ago, but did not notice if that is when corruption started. I'll try deleting all my lists and re-populating them.

I deleted all lists and re-populated them. Unfortunately, I did not think of doing the safe reboot in between the two steps. The problem still occurs but it takes more clicks of the lists to get the corruption.

I think I will live with current situation. It took quite some time to re-enter all the lists.

Interestingly, Reminders on iOS and iPadOS do not exhibit this problem.

Thanks for your help.
