iPad mini Pages has no Export for document conversion

Until now I’ve always been able to convert documents to .pdf by using Export from an open doc. Today, the Export seems to have disappeared from the previous list on the toolbar at top right, and I can’t find how to convert to send a document to someone, or even to make it capable of being printed. (My HP smart printer has decided it doesn’t recognise the file type so it’s the usual way I do it). I am using iPad Mini 5, iPadOS 16.1.1 Please can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong suddenly? Many thanks.
