Simcard not supported

I got an iphone 14 from canada

When i put a simcard, it's said the provider is not supported. I use prepaid Australia provider.

Any chance to unlock the phone so i can use australia sim card?

I haven't tried with post paid sim card.

Thank you

Well, that is the correct model for Canada, so I'm not certain what the issue could be. The major telecoms in Canada are not permitted to carrier lock their devices (since late 2018, I believe). It is common practice in the US for retailers such as BestBuy to market some devices as "SIM free" but they will lock to the first US carrier used. I don't know if the same practice is use here in Canada.
