iPad Headphone jack not working

My iPad headphone jack abruptly stopped working. I have tried 3 different headphones and earbuds that all work just fine in other devices, but none work in my iPad. The iPad internal speakers work fine without the headphones plugged in. I have tried cleaning the headphone jack, and starting Skype, checked for alternative settings under Settings, and nothing works. I have done everything except a factory reset, which I really don’t want to do. Help!! Any suggestions?

As described, your iPad headphone jack my be faulty and require service.


You would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad. If service or repair is required, you’ll be in best possible place to explore your available options:
