Status of Storage downgrade

How do I confirm the status of a request to downgrade my iCloud storage? I have completed the downgrade sequence (from 2.2TB to 200GB) but the status of my storage still shows that it will renew the (original) 2TB upgrade at the due monthly date. I am unable to repeat the downgrade request again because the 'Done' button is never active.

Either the downgrade is in the pipeline or I am going to be charged again. For reference, I had previously reduced my actual file storage (by deletion of data) to 62GB before any amendments to capacity, well within the requested 200GB cap.
