How to play movies from iCloud Drive on AppleTV

Just open iCloud.com in your Safari browser on iPhone, iPad or iMac and login to your account. Open “Drive App”, start to play your video and stream it with Airplay to your Apple TV. That’s it. Hope Apple will still provide a native AppleTV app for this sometimes.

Movies from Library on Apple TV app do not play I have tried to play movies on the Apple TV app through mirroring on both my Apple TVs, two Vizio TVs with Airplay and my iMac with up to date software. None of my movies will play. They play fine in the app when not connected to Airplay. How can this be fixed?

Apple tv can i store movies and shows purchased from apple tv on a hard drive? i basically want to purchase movies and put them in my hard drive to play later if for whatever reason the store stops selling that movie or show (license issues) if I can do this, where can I watch those movies? Can I watch on an apple tv app or Do I need to watch on my iphone/ipad/mac (whatever apple)?
