CNN commercials cause Safari to go black, not Chrome.

My window looks different than yours. Mine is in Safari preferences, but I have content blockers specifically off for CNN. My auto-play was set to "Stop Media with Sound". I'll change that to "Allow All auto play" and report back in a bit.

The Auto-Play feature seems to be working. I've had CNN running for 30 minutes and there hasn't been any issues. When CNN returns from a commercial there's a brief frame or three where you can see the circularly play button, but I believe the Auto-Play feature is forcing it to play. I am goin to see if this is consistent on my laptop and iMac.

No, I am not running any ad blockers. This has been going on for years even before Monterey and on more than one computer. It happens on my M1 iMac as well.

I guess it was too good to be true. I tried streaming a show and after the commercial it wouldn't come back. I could only hear the audio and got a spinning curved arrow.
