Is there a real answer to this yet. I’ve seen all the posts but never a conclusive answer. If I put the phone on ANY charger, and turn it off , it powers up later , seemingly randomly . I’ve had this on various iPhones. This one is a 13 Pro Max but the 7 and 10 did it too . Thanks

It’s not random, it is turning on for a reason. You just don’t know the reason, which makes it seem random.
But why are you turning it off to charge it? There is no logical reason to do so. And if it is plugged in and your turn it off it doesn’t turn off completely, because the “charger” is not the power source or the cable, it is a microcircuit in the phone that needs power to operate and the ability to execute code. So when the phone is plugged in it is always on, even if you think you turned it off.
You could also turn on Do not Disturb to keep the phone quiet while sleeping.
For as far as I know it is normal for the iPhone to turn on after you put it on the charger
It is . But if it is sitting on a charger, turned off , is it normal to power back on randomly ? That’s what I don’t get. They don’t seem to do it unless connected to a charger .
Ok. I will put it somewhere else to charge why I’m sleeping.
