Ipad backspace key keeps repeating erasing all text

Is the iPad fully updated to iPadOS 16.1.1 in Settings > General > About? We'd want to rule out the issue being related to an out-of-date iPadOS.

If that hasn't resolved the issue, let us know a few more details.

1. Does this happen in only a specific app or multiple apps? Which ones?
2. Does this happen with the on screen keyboard, connected physical keyboard, or both?
