Trade-In or otherwise. Your iCloud data is yours. You can use it whenever you want on any device of your choice.

Things to keep in mind...

Don't share Apple IDs
Don't Jailbreak
Don't share sensitive information pertaining to your device and payment methods
Beware of Phishing
