WindowServer Process System Crash after Upgrade to macOS Ventura

I have MacBook Pro 15' (2018) and recently upgraded my macOS to Ventura where I started getting System crashes almost on daily basis. Below is a summary of relevant points from the crash report:

Process: WindowServer [37494]

Identifier: WindowServer

Version: ???

Code Type: X86-64 (Native)

Parent Process: launchd [1]

OS Version: macOS 13.0.1 (22A400)

Report Version: 12

System Integrity Protection: enabled

Crashed Thread: 7 Dispatch queue: com.apple.skylight.stats

Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)

Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000

Application Specific Information:

abort() called

I already tried to apply the new patch 13.0.1 but still get the same crash. I have an external monitor connected all the time and honestly can't work without and haven't tried to disconnect it. Looking at some threads online, I tried to enable "reduce transparency" then the machine crashed a few minutes afterwards with the same error message.

Any thoughts or similar experiences with this?

Regards,

Jamil.

Is this a workplace or home mac?

If it is a workplace mac managed by the IT department, you will have to check with them.

If it is a home mac, it is unusual for it to have "configuration profiles" and, as the report says, this could be the effect of some malware, or not.

Are you aware of those configuration profiles?

If not, go to System Settings and see what you have for Profiles.

Note: I can't say exactly where they are in Ventura, as I don't have any, and could not find precise information; in Monterey and earlier, a specific pane named "Profiles" appeared in System Preferences only when profiles were installed, and was absent otherwise.

Thanks Luis for the quick response. Am sorry as I can't list the full outcome as it will reveal information that may show unnecessary information publicly. I just want to show a summary: I don't have any major issues to show and the minor ones are below:

Configuration profiles found - This computer may have configuration profiles installed. These are sometimes used by malware.

Heavy RAM usage - Apps are using a large amount of RAM.

Clean up - There are orphan files that could be removed.

Unsigned files - There are unsigned software files installed. These files could be old, incompatible, and cause problems. They should be reviewed.

System modifications - There are a large number of system modifications running in the background.

x86-only Apps - This computer has x86-only apps might not work on future versions of the operating system.

Limited permissions - More information may be available with Full Disk Access.

Kernel extensions present - This computer has kernel extensions that may not work in the future.

I know this is limited but any indication from the above?
