Turn Off Low On Memory Message/warning.

My Macbook Pro M2 2022 keeps notifying me with the message "This computer is low on memory. (This is since, I have upgraded the software version to Ventura 13.0.1 (22A400).

I have approximately a third of my Mac's memory free, the notification is a bit over the top, and I keep pressing Close, it takes a fair few seconds to go away and is interrupting my typing while I work, communicate, study or play games.

There is no reason to and nor can I clear space currently, so instead how can I turn off the message?

Hi Harrythefry,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

Have you ever booted into safe mode to see if the issue continues here? This could help you determine if this was third-party software causing the issue in the background. It will also clear cache. See this page: How to use safe mode on your Mac

"Apple silicon

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button until you see the startup options window.
  3. Select your startup disk, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking “Continue in Safe Mode.”
  4. Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again."

If it doesn't happen in the typical amount of time, start up normally and test again.

Let us know what happens.

Have a fantastic day!
