Emails getting cut off

When I sent a reply to an email (using Apple mail) the receiver only sees the copy above wherever an attachment is. Is there a fix to this?

Greetings jimusasia,

It sounds as though the body of the message you're sending isn't showing on the receiver's device, but they are able to view the included attachment. To confirm, are you sending messages using iCloud Mail, or a third-party email account via the Mail app on Mac? If you respond to the email via the email provider's website, does the same behavior exist? If not, and it only occurs when sending email via the Mail app on Mac, make sure you're running the latest macOS. While simple, updating macOS is a great step that can help resolve many issues. You can find the steps for updating listed below and outlined in the following article.

  1. "From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen:
    • Choose System Settings. Then click General in the sidebar, and Software Update on the right.
    • Or choose System Preferences. Then click Software Update.

2.If Software Update finds new software, click the Update Now or Upgrade Now button to install it.

3.Enter your administrator password, if asked. During installation, your Mac might restart, and you might see a progress bar or blank screen several times."
