My iPhone 13 Pro has decided that the word "the" needs to be capitalized every time I use slide to type. I've noticed in the suggestions it often suggests my wife's contact (I have her in as "The Best Wife Ever"). I've tried setting the text replacement but to no avail. How do I get my phone to stop connecting the word "the" to my wife's contact, or just stop capitalizing it because it is driving me insane?

We understand the "The" is being capitalized when typing since adding it to your wife's contact card. If text replacement does not resolve, and you have completed basic troubleshooting such as restarting and updating to the latest software to restart running processes, back up your iPhone to iCloud or your computer and reset your keyboard dictionary. This will delete custom words and return the keyboard to default.
Reset your personal dictionary
1. Go to Settings> General > Reset.
2. Tap Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
All custom words and shortcuts are deleted, and the keyboard dictionary returns to its default state.
