Initial iPhone capitalization reverts to lower case

When I talk-text or swipe and hit send the initial capitalization reverts to lower case. It's sloppy. I hate it.

Auto-capitalization issue with random phrases on iPhone I have gone into my settings and turned off auto capitalization yet my iPhone insists on capitalizing random phrases like “Down The Shore“ and I have no idea why since there are no proper nouns included in there or any reason for capitalization that I can think of. Phone capitalizes "the" every time. My iPhone 13 Pro has decided that the word "the" needs to be capitalized every time I use slide to type. I've noticed in the suggestions it often suggests my wife's contact (I have her in as "The Best Wife Ever"). I've tried setting the text replacement but to no avail. How do I get my phone to stop connecting the word "the" to my wife's contact, or just stop capitalizing it because it is driving me insane?

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand that capitalization isn't working on your iPhone when using Dictation. We'd like to help!

Which version of iOS are you currently running? If you have any updates available, installing them may resolve the Auto-Capitalization issue: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

We also recommend checking your Keyboard Settings by going to Settings > General > Keyboards.

If iOS is up to date and your keyboard settings look correct, we recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly for a closer look: Contact - Official Apple Support
