Mac OS Ventura 13.0.1 System Settings not displaying correclty - Macbook Pro 16" M1 Pro

The problem is that it's not possible to create a new user a/c or ID because that option is not showing in System Settings. I have only passwords and Java showing, so can't even change the time! Have tried everything - reinstalling Ventura, backing up from previous Time Machine date, opening in safe mode etc etc. Nothing works. Getting desperate now!

Updated to 13.2, still many issues with the interface. System settings don't "stick" (for example proxy configurations disappear after some time) and some buttons simply do not work (when they should) until I close and reopen a few times. VPN configurations also do not stay for example for DNS and others.

Same thing happened to me... only user installed preference panes show

Have reinstalled OS - so incredibly frustrating and such a time cost.

…after my days long fight with my missing System Settings, after fully “factory resetting” my computer, fully reinstalling a” clean “ version of Ventura? Now my REMINDER App is dead. 🙄

I’ve gone through all the iCloud testing stuff twice - it works fine on my phone, iPad, backup MacBook - but the REMINDER Apps dialogue window is as dead as the old System Settings window used to be. 😖

(I’d reset back to Monterey but I’m concerned I’ve done too many new projects in FCP and Logic Pro and they will not be backwards compatible with the Monterey versions. 🥺)

I’ve really lost faith in Ventura though I’ve loved the potential of many of its new features.

More sad, for me, is my diminished faith in Apple’s ability to look after me as a customer. 😔

Hi, are you suggesting that a fresh install of Ventura might work? I had it updated from the previous OS and did not try a fresh install. At this point, I had trouble but got to return to the previous OS and do not want to get close to Ventura for a while, but perhaps this can unveil why some issues are happening to some people and not others.

Okay - today I tried Raymonds solution - but NO LOVE for my now permanently BLANK and UNRESPONDING Reminders app :(

The good news is that my SYTEMS SETTINGS continues to stick around, so that is good. I guess I'll just have to keep checking my reminders on my iPHONE and wait for Apple folk to upgrade, and hopefully, fix this Ventura muddle.

I'm having the same problem, can't upgrade or do anything because the only thing that shows in System Settings is "Passwords". Can't make a single change to my Mac or upgrade to the next version of Ventura! Apple really screwed this one up and needs to release a fix immediately.

I have the same issue with just Passwords and Java showing. Let me know if you find a solution! I've tried everything!

I don't think it's an account issue... I use same account same country... still have the problem

Oh no, this breaks my "hope" that the problem was only when updating, since in this case it was a fresh install, right?
