Inherited MacBook Pro from former employer

I was laid off from my job recently, but I inherited my MacBook Pro as part of my severance. It's a 2018 15-inch running Ventura 13.0.1. It has an older admin profile you can only see in recovery mode and JAMF Protect in the applications folder. How do I delete these and make this MacBook my own without any former corporate stuff on it? I was told I needed to swipe the computer clean and restore it with a TimeMachine backup, but that seems too much. Is there something I can do through the terminal to fix this?

If your former employer did not have their IT Team remove the remote management (JAMF) software and configuration from your Mac, you may not be able to administer or wipe it without their intervention. That cannot be fixed from the Terminal and wiping your Mac and restoring from a Time Machine backup may just reintroduce that JAMF nonsense right back into your Mac.

If you can, talk to their IT team about getting their JAMF stuff off of it.
