Airpods Pro 2 "Connect to This iPhone" option in Airpods' settings is missing

Hi there.

My Airpods Pro 2 "Connect to This iPhone" option in Airpods' settings is missing, so I'm unable to switch between my iPhone and iPad, how come?

Thanks,

Francesco

Hi fravecc,

It looks like you've had a chance to review: If your AirPods won't connect, which is great.

Have you had a chance to reset your AirPods as mentioned in the article? If not, this step may help so it's a good idea to give it a try: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro

1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.

2. Wait 30 seconds.

3. Open the lid of your charging case.

4. With your AirPods in your ears and connected to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Bluetooth, or Settings > [your AirPods], and tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods. If you don't see your AirPods in Settings > Bluetooth or in Settings > [your AirPods], just go to the next step.

5. Tap Forget This Device, and tap again to confirm.

6. With the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white.*

7. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Follow the steps on your device's screen.

If the issue persists, restart your iPhone. Although simple, this step can help correct some unexpected issues.

Cheers.

Hi.

I tried everything you suggested – even restarting my iPhone, like three days ago –, but nothing really seems to work out for me…

Also, it may seem like it’s quite a common problem as I had the opportunity to read many experiences like mine.

The thing is, when I used to listen to music with my AirPods 2nd generation, everything was working just fine and I was able to switch between my iPhone and iPad. May be the AirPods Pro 2nd generation the issue?

Hi fravecc,

Thanks for providing us those details. You'll want to make sure that you are signed in with the same Apple ID account on both the iPhone and the iPad for "Connect to This iPhone" to appear. If you are signed in with the same Apple ID account, you'll want to contact Apple Support to investigate this further. You can contact them through this link here: Apple Support

Best regards.
