How to disable ligatures

I'm new in MacOs, and I have an annoying problem with programming, when i'm typing double-quotes, or single-quote, and then press an 'a' (also with other vowels), 'a' turns into á or ä, and this is really annoying in my work. How can I disable this feature?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.6

Go to system prefs/keyboard/input sources and get rid of the item called "us international pc". Instead use "us"or "abc".
