I don’t understand why it was placed in another forum.
It doesn’t matter where this is posted, the question was about MacMail (which isn’t a thing, but we get the point). You replied to my post, which was specifically about Mail in macOS.
Regardless, in both OSes, I just paste links and the work. That’s the easiest method to add a link in either.
Barney-15E,
Unfortunately, there is not a method to do this in the native Mail app (iPhone 8+ user running iOS 16.2).
This is rather ridiculous and very embarrassing for Apple.
I might see if it’s available on the Google Mail app.
Perhaps one of the newer iPhones has this capability; however the above, despite the latest software, does not.

It was a hijack, not the OP.
Please see my last post. I apologized. My response was certainly not a “hijack”. I’m far too old for that.
Please feel free to remove my original reply so that no one else gets confused - maliciously or otherwise.
That is my 2nd option. Hold your finger on a link anywhere and a menu will appear; tap Copy Link. Then hold your finger in the body of the email and a menu will appear that has “Paste” as an option and tap it.

Yes, I see that now, Mr. Lawrence; however I specifically typed only “iOS + hyperlink + how + to” in Apple’s search bar. I suppose this is what I get for assuming.
I am simply like the majority of folks who think of a “hyperlink” traditionally referring to a single word or phrase (in this case in an email) that one can tap or click to access a website, FTP, etc. At least, that’s the ubiquitous version.
I meant no disrespect by positing differently or inadvertently posting my reply in the incorrect sub forum. My apologies.
OK, what happened is you posted in the iPhone forum. Another forum member saw “MacMail” and notified the moderators that it was in the wrong forum, so it was moved. Then when you asked, it was moved back to the iPhone forum.
Hyperlinks in mail.
