If you enter the wrong passcode on your iPhone Lock Screen too many times, an alert lets you know that your iPhone is disabled. (Learn what to do if you see "[Device] unavailable" or "Security Lockout" on your iPhone or iPad.)

Thanks for that advice, but we don't know the Apple ID password to be able to reset this phone. Any thoughts?

It is my daughters phone. She is in hospital with blood disorder that has temporarily affected her mind and she entered her normal password 10 times wrong.

Forcing an Apple reset, but neither her husband or her remember this password!

This is a warning to remember or record the original Apple password used to set the phone up.
