Remove Google Desktop from Macbook

I have a client who still has Google Desktop installed on their Macbook, even though it was retired in 2011. When I try to open the app's Preferences in System Information to uninstall it, all I get is an error message saying it can't be opened. Given this, how do I remove Google Desktop?

rcharbon, Since you're still having trouble removing Google Desktop from your MacBook, we recommend contacting the app developer directly so that they can work with you to find a solution, especially since they are best suited to help you troubleshoot the app that they created. How to contact an app developer Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. Cheers!
