My child’s date of birth is wrong in his Apple ID. How do I change that information?

I too had this problem. I finally was able to get help by contacting Apple support. The advisor had to go through a couple steps with me and had the change the settings on the back end so I could change the date of birth. It can be fix.

If you go into their contacts then click my card then edit you can change the info.
