Hi there, I have suddenly lost the special characters on my iPhone, I used to be able to press the vowel key and get extra options, but they are gone. I have downloaded the latest update but still the same. My iPad is OK. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What do you have on your list in settings > general > keyboard > keyboards?

Could you check if you have the same problem if you change that to English (US)?
