iphone 11 Special characters have disappeared

Hi there, I have suddenly lost the special characters on my iPhone, I used to be able to press the vowel key and get extra options, but they are gone. I have downloaded the latest update but still the same. My iPad is OK. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cant click on emoji button or dictation on keyboard I’ve recently updated my iphone xr to ios 16.6 and my phone is formatting a bit weird. I don’t get red lines under misspelled words I’m not sure what is going on with my iPad, but I do not get red lines under misspelled words. I’m at the point where I may do a factory reset because it’s driving me mad. I don’t get the red lines no matter the input method… swiping with the Apple onscreen keyboard, G-Board, Magic Keyboard or a bluetooth connected keyboard. Any thoughts?

What do you have on your list in settings > general > keyboard > keyboards?

Could you check if you have the same problem if you change that to English (US)?
