email not sending content with a pdf
i sent an email with a note and a pdf attachment. when it arrived, my friend got the note and the pdf on her iphone 13 but only got the pdf on her mac book

Your message was sent correctly.
The error here is some detail with the recipient's mail setup or usage.
Which means figuring out the details of the iPad and its setup and usage, and comparing that to the Mac.
The iPad will usually offer to download attachments, but won't automatically.
Update the iPad to 15.7.1 or to 16.1.1, and check again.
Confirm IMAP only and with no use of POP; on the iPad, and on the Mac.
Check which mail client is in use, too. Different mail clients can handle attachments differently.
