The Calendar app is not syncing birthdays correctly

the calendar app is malfunctioning, it’s not syncing birthdays correctly. I’ve tried checking the settings and making sure cellular is checked on for both contacts and calendar, and also made sure it’s “all events” is checked on sync. Nothing has worked

We can definitely understand wanting to have the birthdays sync properly on your iPhone.


Have you tried removing and re-adding the calendar? This step can help force the calendar to resync and help resolve this issue.


  1. Launch the Calendar app
  2. Tap on Calendars at the bottom
  3. Deselect Birthdays
  4. Close out Calendar app following the steps here: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support
  5. Relaunch app and enable birthday's again


You can find some additional troubleshoot steps you can take here: If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync - Apple Support
