Hello!

What’s the difference between hbd and sad? Which is better?

A hard disk drive (HDD) is a mechanical storage device. While they are great at storing lots of data for a low cost, they are slow. HDDs are great as secondary backups, or large capacity archival & library storage.

A solid state drive (SSD) is a newer technology that is built from NAND flash. It has no moving parts. While more expensive than hard disks, it is extremely quick and my choice for most storage needs. An SSD is far better than a hard disk as a macOS boot startup disk.

What are you looking at using a hard disk or SSD for? Perhaps we can provide suggestions.
