App Store keeps crashing

All of a sudden, on my 3rd Gen 12.9" iPad Pro, running iPadOS 16.1.1 (20B101), the App Store app crashes every time I try to start it. I cannot update my existing apps, nor install anything new. I click on the icon, see the window frame, it spins for a second or two, then just exits. I've tried restarting my iPad several times, but that doesn't help. Is anyone else experiencing this problem on 16.1.1 or know of a workaround or fix? Did Apple just break the App Store on iPad 16.1.1? (This is the latest iPadOS.)

I just noticed a post on Reddit that said it crashes when the iPad is tilted in landscape mode but not portrait. And it’s true, which makes it even more odd. So try portrait mode. It appears to be the Today page that’s causing the crash.

Thanks @GeezerFella - I confirm that it only crashes in landscape mode. I use a Magic Keyboard so I usually have it in landscape mode. Turning it to portrait works fine. In fact if you start up the App Store in portrait and then turn it to landscape while it’s updating, it’ll crash again.

This has started happening on my iPad Air 5, iPadOS 16.1.1. I've only been trying in landscape mode, because I use a Logitech Combo Touch keyboard. I read another thread elsewhere that if you turn Stage Manager ON, App Store works. I can confirm this is true for me.

Same for me. I’ve tried all of the recommended fixes but no luck. There are several threads reporting this problem and it seems to be just the iPad Pro. My iPhone works fine. Very strange.
