How to save music in iCloud without subscription?

Apple forces you to mandatory subscribe to Apple Music for you to backup your music, or ONLY the music you have purchased from them.

I don't and won't subscribe to that.

The only way I've found and managed to back up my non-Apple-Music-purchased music library in iCloud, is treating the music files and directories, as any other files: by select-drag-drop the directory where your music is and wait. A small circle will be filling up next to the iCloud drive icon, showing the progress. Click on it and you'll see how much is in the iCloud and how much is there to go.

Obviously you need to

1) be subscribed and pay for iCloud storage,

2) have enough space in the iCloud storage to save your music, and

3) very preferably, a fast internet connection.
