bookmarks panel opens when cursor hits left of screen

As a left-handed person, my cursor often hits the edge of the left of the screen, causing the bookmarks panel to pop out, which is a pain.

Can I disable that feature?

Many thanks

Hi guycruls,

Do you notice this when you use Safari in full screen? There isn't a setting that will disable this feature. The best workaround would be to exit full-screen when using Safari. When Safari is not in full screen mode, the sidebar will not automatically slide out when your cursor moves to the left edge of the screen. Otherwise, you would need to manually select "Hide sidebar".

As mentioned, providing feedback will let Apple know you'd like to see an option to disable this feature.

Cheers.

Hi there guycruls,

The first thing we wanted to do is to make sure you had a way to provide product feedback for consideration as what you described sounds like this: Product Feedback

If something else is occurring that's a technical issue, please provide us more details as we're not completely understanding what's happening in Safari regarding accidentally causing the 'bookmarks panel' to show. The more details you provide, the better we'll understand if there's a technical issue occurring.

Cheers!
