If TouchID is not working after screen replacement, you’ll need to return to whoever replaced the screen. During screen replacement, the TouchID sensor must be explicitly re-enabled by special diagnostic software - available only to Apple Authorised Service Providers (AASPs). If an AASP repaired your iPad, they can reset the TouchID sensor.

If you have instead used an independent third-party repair shop, your TouchID sensor has been permanently disabled. Apple will not assist with resolving issues created by tampering by an unauthorised repairer.
